Empowering Growth Through Education and Equine Connection
NDIS Registered Provider: Find out more about Equine Assisted Learning.
Welcome to Alkira Adina Equestrian

Once, I was a passionate teacher navigating the challenges of a traditional classroom, watching students struggle to thrive in an environment that didn’t suit everyone’s needs. Bound by rigid systems, I knew there had to be a better way to teach—a way that inspired creativity, connection, and growth. When I joined the growing number of teachers leaving the classroom, I didn’t give up on education; I reimagined it.
That vision came to life through Alkira Adina Equestrian, where students learn in partnership with horses. Our programs offer a unique combination of Equine-Assisted Learning and horse riding lessons with a focus on natural horsemanship (or “horse whispering”)—a science-based approach to riding, training, and caring for horses.
What We Offer
At Alkira Adina Equestrian, we blend experiential learning with equestrian expertise. Our team includes qualified, registered teachers and experienced horse professionals who are passionate about fostering growth through hands-on experiences. Our programs include:
-
Equine-Assisted Learning: Activities that help participants build essential life skills such as communication, leadership, empathy, and self-awareness through groundwork, grooming, and interactive sessions with our horses.
-
Horse Riding Lessons: Tailored towards learning skills, having fun and and enjoying horses, our lessons emphasise natural horsemanship, body awareness, and understanding horse psychology to create confident, compassionate riders.
-
NDIS-Aligned Programs: We’re proud to be an NDIS-registered provider, offering individualised support for children, teens, and adults with diverse needs.
WildQuest Education
Through Alkira Adina Equestrian, we have developed WildQuest Education, an experiential learning program created by teachers for children who don’t fit into the confines of a classroom. This unique subscription service offers hands-on, nature-based learning that integrates literacy, numeracy, and communication skills with the help of learning buddies such as pets, toys, or stuffed animals.
The curriculum is designed to be inclusive and adaptable, catering to children of all abilities, including those with learning differences such as Autism and ADHD. WildQuest Education is available to all families and is offered free to parents who enroll their children in our WildQuest Programs.
Why Horses?
Horses bring a unique, intuitive energy to learning. They teach us patience, communication, and connection, while helping individuals feel grounded and empowered. Our programs cater to all ages, from children (4+) to seniors, and are flexible to meet the needs of individuals or groups.
More Than a Program—A Journey
The name Alkira Adina reflects our mission; it comes from Indigenous Australian words meaning Bright Happy Equestrian. Every interaction here is guided by a commitment to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
Together, we explore the art of communication—whether through "horsenalities" and personality types, or the powerful use of body language. Learning here is active, dynamic, and deeply connected to nature.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which we work, learn, and play, and we pay our respects to their elders—past, present, and emerging.
We are the FIRST in South Australia to run educational programs using horses with South Australian registered teachers and experienced educators. Our curriculum has been designed, tried and tested by us and we know what works with helping young learners engage.
We are absolutely thrilled to be finalists in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards for Education. Winners were announced in Sydney in August, and we were excited to attend this prestigious event. It's fantastic to have our hard work and dedication recognised nationally, showcasing the impact experiential learning can have on learners! We congratulate all the amazing women who were finalists and won awards in their catagories!
