We are absolutely thrilled to be finalists in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards for Education. Winners were announced in Sydney in August, and we were excited to attend this prestigious event. It's fantastic to have our hard work and dedication recognised nationally, showcasing the impact experiential learning can have on learners! We congratulate all the amazing women who were finalists and won awards in their catagories!
Once upon a time I was a passionate teacher confined within four classroom walls. Each day, I saw children struggling to thrive in this restrictive environment. I knew there had to be a better way. Driven by this vision, I sought methods to transform teaching, only to be thwarted by politics and red tape. My heart broke as I became one of the 1 in 5 teachers who leave the classroom.
Determined to make a difference, I founded Alkira Adina Equestrian, where learning transcends traditional boundaries. Our small team of dedicated teachers now harnesses the power of horses as learning buddies, engaging students in experiential learning. Here, students use their whole bodies to learn, communicating through natural horsemanship. We explore "horsenalities" and personality types, teaching effective body language and communication skills.
We're excited to announce that we're in the process of becoming an NDIS registered provider. This journey has been filled with hope and joy, knowing we can offer a unique, impactful learning experience. I look forward to exploring with you how we can help your learner thrive in this nurturing, dynamic environment. At Alkira Adina Equestrian, we're more than just teachers—we're partners in your child's journey of growth and discovery.

Alkira Adina are Australian Indigenous words for bright happy. Alkira Adina Equestrian means Bright Happy Equestrian.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which we work, learn and play. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.
My program is designed to help individuals develop important life skills, such as communication, leadership, empathy, and self-awareness, through interactions with horses. It is based on the belief that horses have a unique ability to help individuals develop these skills in a safe and supportive environment. Through a variety of activities, including groundwork, riding, and grooming, participants will have the opportunity to develop a deeper connection with horses and themselves.
My program is suitable for individuals of all backgrounds, including children (4+), teens, adults, and seniors. Whether you are looking to improve your communication skills, build confidence, or simply connect with nature and animals, my program can help you achieve your goals.
I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. I strive to ensure that each individual's needs and goals are being met.
My program is designed to be flexible and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals and groups. Contact me today to learn more about how our Equine Facilitated Learning program can help you achieve your goals and develop important life skills.
