About Us

I started out as a passionate teacher, determined to make learning meaningful for every student. After seeing how many children struggled in traditional classrooms, I wanted to create a space where creativity, confidence, and connection could thrive.

That vision became Alkira Adina Equestrian—a place where people aged 4 and up learn and grow alongside horses through education, horsemanship, and personal development.

Based in the Fleurieu Peninsula, we are proud to be a local team of educators, therapists, and equine professionals, committed to creating a safe, engaging, and ethical learning environment. Our property is continually developing, and with the support of an Onkaparinga Council grant, we are adding a new arena and improved fencing to enhance the experience for both learners and horses.

We are the first in South Australia to run educational programs using horses with registered teachers and experienced educators. Our curriculum has been carefully designed, tested, and refined to help young learners engage, build skills, and grow in confidence.

Being finalists in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards for Education was an exciting recognition of our approach. Attending this prestigious event in Sydney highlighted the impact experiential learning can have, and it was wonderful to celebrate alongside so many inspiring women in education.

What We Offer

Our team combines education and horsemanship to support each learner’s individual goals:

Horse Riding Lessons
Fun, confidence-building sessions for children and adults, focusing on natural horsemanship, balance, and partnership with horses.

Equine-Assisted Learning
Groundwork and horse-based activities that develop communication, leadership, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Therapy & Early Childhood Supports
Work with our occupational therapist or early childhood specialists in a calm, outdoor environment that encourages focus, coordination, and social skills.

NDIS-Aligned Programs
As an NDIS-registered provider, we offer personalised programs supporting confidence, independence, and wellbeing.

At Alkira Adina Equestrian, every lesson and activity is designed to nurture growth, connection, and learning—helping learners of all ages develop skills, confidence, and a lasting bond with horses.
