Vanessa Baulderstone

Owner of Alkira Adina Equestrian and licensee holder of Horses Helping Humans. Vanessa has been involved with horses from a young age and has a keen interest in natural horsemanship, Mindfulness, and education.Vanessa has a Bachelor of Education and enjoys using horses as a powerful learning tool in her work. 

Vanessa is certified in the Horse Powered Reading program, has a horse riding instructor qualification, a youth work certificate and is the certified facilitator of Horses Helping Humans.

Nanna Bella

Bella is a 14.3hh chestnut roaning Appaloosa. Bella has previously spent several years at a riding school. She has competed in dressage and general riding club events. Bella is a quiet, kind horse who loves to plod along. Likes- carrots, apples, strawberries, lattes and sleeping in the sun.Dislikes- boring food, being cold.

Granny Dani

Dani is a 14.3hh, black liver chestnut, riding pony x thoroughbred mare. Dani is living the high life in her twilight years. She has previously been used for riding lessons and has competed in dressage, hacking, and eventing. Dani lives her life a million miles an hour, even in her old age! Although she will stand for hours while little people brush her. Dani is used for the Horses Helping Humans program. She is great at listening to body language and has great spatial awareness.Likes- Going fast, dinner, carrots.

Dislikes- Having her rugs put on, the electric fence, waiting for dinner

Captain Solo

Captain Solo is a big goofy guy. He finished racing in 2022 and spent a year chilling out in a paddock. He loves being brushed, loves to give cuddles and is very cheeky. There's not much this guy doesn't love! Captain Solo loves a good scratch!

Brylee Tilbrook-Holland

Brylee has her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. She has a passion for numeracy, literacy and arts. She has a love for animals, owning two horses of her own (Niall and Daisy) and a few other animals. She can't wait to combine her two passions to discover new ways to guide children's learning through interactions with horses.

Thumper

Thumper is a 14hh Gypsy cob x Welsh pony. 

She is perfect for the children and adults and is quite possibly the most chilled out pony I've ever had the privilege of knowing!

Likes: Food. Any type of food will do. Will even eat the wooden spoon to mix the food and the handles off the food bowl.

Dislikes: Not eating.

Rachel has a certificate 4 in mental health work and is currently studying Diploma of Counselling.

Kim Bathe

I’m am excited to join the team at Alkira Adina. My experience with literacy and numeracy intervention is across my role as Leader of Teaching and Learning, and I grew up with and around horses as a teenager. Working with young people and seeing them feel confident and having success in their learning is what Iam passionate about.
